The Pelham Church of Christ has developed a reputation as a very friendly congregation.  We welcome visitors and prospective members to our services.  We need people of all ages who want to serve the Lord, find a place to be useful in the Kingdom, and find a place of loving Christian brothers and sisters.  You won’t be sorry that you have come our way.

The Pelham congregation began in 1944-45, in the old Keystone community, meeting off Hwy 52 near the banks of Buck Creek.  Several persons began meeting in the Bailey home, including Frances and Lucille Jackson (now Frances Walker and Lucille Lyons).  In 1947, the five acres where we are presently located were purchased.  A tent meeting was held the last week in May of that year, with John T. Lewis doing the preaching.  Tom and LaJauna Stubbs began meeting with the church, after having moved to this area from Oklahoma.

The brethren began building a small block building in 1947 on the property (which was later torn down to make way for the present structure).  On October 2, 1948, Harold Walker and Frances Jackson were married in the still unfinished building.  Our present structure was built in the 1960’s.  Of course, the city of Pelham eventually annexed the Keystone community so that we are now part of Pelham community.  The church has continuously met since the 1960’s in the building we now occupy.
